My awesome weather report!

Kia ora bloggers, Thom here again. This week for home learning I decided to do a weather report.

There isn't much to the activity, I pretty much just made a funny as weather report video. Hope you like it!

Just saying my video is very weird and cringy so don't tease me for it.

I decided to do the weather report because it looked really funny and I had a good idea to do as soon as I saw it. I tried to make it quite funny so I hope you enjoy

Converting fractions, Decimals and percentages.

For a while in my maths group we have been doing converting fractions, decimals and percentages. At first it was really hard but then it became quite easy because for most of them you just divide or times them by 100.

We have been doing these slides for a while now and I think I have pretty much got the hang of how to convert decimals, fractions and percentages. As you may know, in our class, at the end of each maths slide we do we have to make a DLO about it to show others how to do it and also to show that we understand how to do it.

So I made a DLO. I got inspiration from another one but changed it up a bit and made it easier to understand.

The start of a new Novel Study.

Kia ora bloggers, In week 1 of term 4, So last week, We started novel study. Pretty much we did a thing called Speed dating, but with books. We went around and chose 5 books we liked, Write why we like them and then ordered them from best to worst or favourite to least favourite. Then the teacher let different reading groups go at a time to get the book they wanted. But then...

SOMEONE TOOK THE BOOK I WANTED! So the teacher said I could pledge my love for it and try to get it. But I didn't or maybe I did. But anyway here is a video of some weirdo pledging their love for a book called the Ethan I was before. Oh yeah and also I am the weirdo in the video, Just incase you were wondering. So I ended up getting the book 'The Ethan I was before' and I've only just started reading it yet its really good.

Making a new school uniform!

Kia ora bloggers, Today I have another awesome home learning blog for you! This time I am going to be making a new school uniform! I hope you like it because I am going to try make them quite cool, FYI I am going to be making a sports uniform and a normal school uniform and describing the process of making them both. Also FYI the one on the left is the sports uniform and the one on the right is the normal school uniform.

So for the process of making them, Well the one on the left was the hardest to make because I had to make the top out of curved line whereas for the second one I just copied the same shirt shape. For the stripes on the sleeves I just used moon shapes and spread them out and changed them round a bit to make those stripes. Then I used another shape for the side bits going along the side of the shirt. For the second one (The one on the right) I just used square, stretched it out and then I had two stripes.

 



Athletics practice.

Kia ora bloggers. Yesterday we did our first athletics practice because athletics is next week on friday and I can't wait for it. Yesterday we practiced High jump, Long jump and Discus which were all pretty fun. The order of my favourite athletics parts go like this, Sprints is 1st, Long jump 2nd, Discus 3rd, High jump 4th and Shotput 5th. I'm not saying I don't like Shot put or High jump I just prefer the others.

What are you favourite athletics parts? Why? What are you best at? Do you like athletics?

I really want to go to zones for sprints and long jump mainly and I'm hoping I will get to.  Hope you enjoyed my blog post and please reply answering my questions.
